Processed milk low in quality; adulteration found, states FSSAI survey

Large quantity of processed milk in the country was found low in quality with sugar and maltodextrin sometimes added to it to raise the level of SNF, in 39% of the total samples drawn.

Further, the samples did not meet quality parameters, according to a report on the National Milk Quality Survey 2018 released by FSSAI here on Tuesday. Present on the occasion were Pawan Agarwal, CEO, FSSAI, and other regulatory and allied officials.
