some of the cherry orchards (in north Chile in particular) did not achieve sufficiently cold temperatures, while other cherry orchards suffered from excessive rainfall and frost. The unfavorable weather conditions further reduced the cherry production volume.
Analysts further predict that the export price of Chilean cherries will rise in comparison with last year, in particular because the export price of Chilean cherries was relatively low last year.
