Perth strawberry grower bounces back after needle crisis

Australian strawberry growers, injured by the needle crisis, are getting back on their feet. In part, this is due to the positive response from supermarkets.

Minh Tran, of Neerabup, is one of eight growers who supplies to WAs Farmer Jacks stores that benefited from the supermarkets pledge to return its profits to strawberry farmers. Tran received $2,520 from Farmer Jacks this month, part of the $18,000 the stores returned to growers covering a week of trade last month.
