New Zealand plans shake-up to food recall system

New Zealand Food Safety wants feedback on proposals to strengthen food recalls and improve risk-based plans and programs in the country.

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) said the objective is to make improvements to the food safety regulatory system and help protect New Zealands reputation as a supplier of safe food. Consultation on the proposals is open until Dec. 7, 2018.
