Health Canada’s partially hydrogenated oil ban to reduce heart disease risk

Health Canadas ban on partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) the largest source of industrially produced trans-fats in foods has come into effect today. This was stated by Ginette Petitpas Taylor, the countrys health minister. It is now illegal for manufacturers to add PHOs to foods sold in Canada.
