CHP investigates acute gastroenteritis outbreak at residential child care centre

The appeal was made following the CHP's investigation into an outbreak of acute gastroenteritis at a residential child care centre in Wan Chai district involving 17 babies and four staff members.
The affected babies comprising 11 males and six females aged nine to 22 months, together with four staff members aged 35 to 50, presented with symptoms of acute gastroenteritis, including vomiting and diarrhoea, since August 19.
