Ground Lean Veal Recalled in Canada for Possible E. coli O157:H7

Vantage Foods in Canada is recalling ground lean veal from the market because it may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7 bacteria. The meat was sold in Food Basics supermarket locations in Ontario. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recalled food is Ground Lean Veal in variable size packages. There is no brand name on the product because it was prepared for Food Basics. The UPC number starts with 0 226811, and the code on the meat is Best Before 2017NO
