Strong growth of Chinese fruit and veg exports to Russia via Heihe port

The export of fruits and vegetables to Russia has grown strongly during the first three quarters of this year, according to data from the port of Heihe, on the China-Russia border, reported on Monday.

As of last September, 57,500 tonnes of fruits and vegetables had been exported from China to Russia via the port; up 39.56% compared to a year earlier.

Potatoes, onions and turnips were the most popular vegetables, while apples, oranges and grapes were in the top three of the most exported fruits
