German Sausage Haus Recalls Meats for Possible Staph

German Sausage Haus of Washington is recalling about 1252 pounds of meat products for possible staphylococcus enterotoxin contamination. There may have been a processing deviation that led to this problem.

The enterotoxins are heat resistant, so even if you heat these foods to a normally safe internal temperature they can still make you sick. There is no word on whether or not any illnesses have been reported in connection with this issue.
