Good Seed Soybean Sprout Seeds Recalled for Possible Listeria

Happy Sprout of Virginia, trading as Good Seed Inc. is voluntarily recalling all packages of soybean sprouts because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. These seeds could grow into contaminated sprouts, especially since the growing environment for sprouts is perfect for the growth of pathogenic bacteria.

The seeds were distributed to retail stores in Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey. The recalled items are 1-pound bags of soybean sprouts in clear plastic bags labele
