Fresh Spinach Recalled for Possible Listeria Contamination

The Horton Fruit Company is voluntarily recalling bags and containers of fresh spinach because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. There have been no reports of illness associated with this issue.

The spinach was distributed in North Carolina, Illinois, Kentucky and West Virginia, through retail stores, wholesale and foodservice distributors. The recalled products include 10 ounce bags of PEAK brand Fresh Curly Leaf Spinach with a best if used by date of 05/11/17. The U
