India: Only 0.05% of the Guava is exported

Guava is India's fourth most important fruit after mangoes, bananas, and citrus. However, despite its large production, it is a product that is mainly consumed in India. Currently, India only exports 0.05% of its guava production to the USA, some countries of the European Union, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Jordan, said Ms. Usha Chavan, the manager of Umed Exports.

Consumption of this fruit has been increasing in the last 8 years, during which time India has started to seriously export it. The count
