Vietnam expects $3 billion in fruit & veg exports for 2017

Vietnam is looking at a good year for fruit and vegetable exports as the country announced export value for January reached $233m, an increase by 16% compared to the previous year according to Vietnam Customs data.

Last year was a successful year for Vietnamese fruit and vegetables after the group, for the first time, surpassed rice to earn $2.4 billion, up 34 percent against 2015.

Vietnamese fruits have found their way into big markets like the U.S., Japan, Australia and South Korea.
