from Fukushima, Gunma, Chiba, Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures are banned over fears they may be radioactive from contaminants following the meltdown of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in 2011.
According to the ban any business that chose to keep the product in the market after the recall would be subject to a maximum NT$3 million penalty, health authorities said.
