US firm recalls minced beef
date:Aug 17, 2012
The US Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) confirmed that Dale T Smith and Sons Meat Packing had recalled the shipments of boneless beef and boxes of primal cuts, subprimal cuts and boxed beef after a refrigeration malfunction raised fears of cross-contamination.

The meat was destined for further processing after being distributed to wholesale and retailers in California and Salt Lake City, but FSIS confirmed there has been no reported illnesses.
