"Ginger prices may fall by 10% due to Chinese exports"
date:Jun 08, 2016
assures Edwin Medrano, of Rainforest Organic Per.

Despite this late harvest, prospects are good for Peru's organic ginger, as neither the volumes nor the quality will be affected and exports will benefit from it. Our volume has increased and our exports are also expected to grow, because we do not face much direct competition. While we started the campaign at the same time as Brazil, they export the white variety, while we ship the yellow one, so there is a market for both, affirms Medrano.
