The facility aims to meet increased demand of the Indian and international packaging markets and was built with an investment of Rs34 crore (6.1m).
From a turnover of Rs2.5 crores (450,000) in 2000, Bosch Packaging Technology, a division of Bosch, has grown with a 33.6% CAGR and registered sales of Rs60.5 crores (10.9m) last year.
The plant will aim to increase localization of packaging machine production and make German technology affordable and available to the Indian market.
