117,350 pounds of meat tamales recalled in Listeria scare

Corn that was earlier recalled at the behest of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has now led to the recall of 117,350 pounds of meat tamale products from the Hialeah, FL-based La Authentic Foods, LLC., as USDAs Food Safety and Inspection Service picked up the scent of possible Listeria Monocytogenes contamination.

The recalled heat-treated, not fully cooked, not shelf stable tamale in corn husk items were produced from Sept. 4, 2015 to April 26, 2016. Products subject to the recall i
