Loblaw to introduce new food labeling program

The program, developed under the support of Delhaize Group's Hannaford Bros. chain, rates foods throughout the store and assigns them a rating of zero to three stars.
The company plans to introduce the shelf tags beginning 10 August, reported Supermarketnews.com.
Loblaw health and wellness senior vice president Michael Lovsin said the company is putting efforts to ensure that it meets the priorities of shoppers, including helping them make informed decisions about healthier food.
