The takeover of So Paulo-based Genius Automao de Sistemas Ltda will build on Tetra PlantMaster, Tetra Paks factory control, supervision and operation software, said the firm.
The acquisition will boost automation in the area of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), control systems which manage and monitor work-in-process on a factory floor.
A new automation unit focusing on MES, will see 41 employees transferred to the site in So Paulo which will serve customers worldwide.
