Efforts against illegal fishing have given encouraging results, said Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs Lisbeth Berg-Hansen.
The Joint Norwegian-Russian Fisheries Commission who conducted the survey of illegal over-fishing, involved the assembly of the vessel level and estimates of the total catch of cod and haddock in the Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea in 2011.
