Heavy coffee consumption may increase blood pressure

A study presented at the European Society of Cardiology Congress shows that drinking three or more cups of caffeinated espresso per day may increase blood pressure and blood glucose levels. The Hypertension and Ambulatory Recording Venetia Study (HARVEST) began in Italy in 1990 and recruited more than 1,000 patients, aged 1845, who had stage 1 hypertension and did not have diabetes.
