48 hours for apples from New Zealand to China

New Zealand is a large exporter of fresh fruit to China. Imported fruit from New Zealand can be ready for sale in China within 48 hours after picking. Picking and packaging takes 13 hours. Transport to Guangzhou by plane takes another 24 hours. Bringing the fruit from the airport to shops in Zhongshan takes less than 4 hours, according to manager Kecheng Zhu from Guo Gu Trade Company.
