The research has focused on two types of pears: Bartlett and Starkrimson pears. The Bartlett pear is sometimes known as the Williams' bon chrtien pear. It has a classic bell-shape, and it has an aromatic, strongly pear flavor. The pear is commonly used for canning. Starkrimson pears are red colored (brilliant crimson); and they have a milder, sweeter taste.
Through various studies the peel, pulp and juice of these varieties of pears were found to help with the management of type 2 diabetes; to
