16 % average annual growth in the import of fresh fruits in Dubai only.
In 2010 Dubai imported nearly 1.7 billion kgs of fruits and vegetables valued at approximately Dhs5.3 billion ($1.44 billion).
Fresh fruits imported to Dubai has reached over 1.1 billion kgs at a value of over Dhs 4 billion and re-exported 463 million kgs valued nearly at Dhs 1.5 billion.
Fresh vegetables of Dubai imports has also reached 590 million kgs for Dhs1.3 b and re-exporting 53 million
