Jinta Vineyards buys Quixote Winery for $29m

Chinese-owned establishment Jinta Vineyards and Winery, a subsidiary of Le Melange, has bought US-based Quixote Winery, in a deal worth approximately $29m.

The transaction follows the series of winery acquisitions in the wine industry of Napa Valley by investors in Asia including Sloan, Dana Estates, Kenzo Estate and 4088, reports Wine Spectator.

Quixote Winery owner Carl Doumani said that the winery has been sold due to challenges in marketing, sales and personnel.
