Spanish wine exports drop 3% in value despite soaring volumes

arpers.co.uk: The Spaniards are indeed taking their pricing down to move inventory. Through April, the average price of bulk wine (w/o DOP) was down 34%, which led to a 29% increase in volumes. The 29% increase is a good start, but there is a lot more ground to cover. There is still a lot of juice in the tanks and the 2014 harvest is looking quite healthy so far, from what I hear.
