Corn tumbles to near 4-year low on ideal crop weather

U.S. corn futures tumbled morethan 2 percent on Monday to the lowest point in almost fouryears as largely ideal crop development weather around theMidwest reinforced expectations for a record-large harvest thisautumn.

Soybeans slid to five-month lows on good crop weather, withlosses in old-crop contracts outpacing those in new-crop monthsas traders unwound bull spreads.
