French retailing giant Auchan has reached an agreement to purchase 12 hypermarkets and commercial galleries in Romania.
Auchan is one of the biggest supermarket operators in the country with sales of more than 1 billion per year.
The premises are located in Bucharest, Timisoara, Satu Mare, Oradea, Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Constanta and Galati.
The deal is estimated to be worth around 280 million, according to Ziarul Financiar.
