The Bardstown Bourbon Company has announced plans to invest around $25m in the construction of a new distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky.
Located in Nelson County Industrial Park, the distillery will be spread over an area of around 45,000ft and will use local ingredients to produce bourbon and other spirits.
Construction on the proposed facility will begin in summer 2014 with opening scheduled in 2016.
Additionally, Bardstown Bourbon will construct a visitor center and warehouses.
