Coca-Cola to open new production plants in Egypt, Pakistan

American multinational beverage firm Coca-Cola plans to begin production in five new plants in Egypt and Pakistan in the next 18 months.

The move comes in response to the increasing sales across both the countries this year.

In March 2014, the company has announced plans to invest around $500m in Egypt over the next three years, reported Reuters.

Of the proposed investment, around $100m will be used in the construction of a new juice plant near Cairo, under a joint venture project with Aujan
