Brazil to provide $96m loan to strengthen Ghana’s agricultural sector

Brazil plans to provide $96m loan facility to improve small-scale and rural farming in Ghana, in order to boost food production in the country, according to Brazilian Ambassador to Ghana, Irene Vida Gala.

The loan facility will be used to purchase agricultural equipment and tools for farmers. This initiative is expected to strengthen the competencies of small-scale farmers, and thereby lower food imports and improve food security, reported Ghanaweb.com.
