At a Jameson factory dating from the eighteenth century near Irelands Cork, the worlds biggest Irish whiskey producer has staked its future in a new facility with three shiny stills used to produce spirits.
The distillery is key to achieving Jamesons ambition of doubling sales to more than 1 billion by 2020. Owner Pernod Ricard says that it provides capacity to spread Irish whiskey globally and will help close the gap with American whiskey behemoth Jack Daniels.
