Karnataka to Spend $13 MN on Integrated Farming

In order to increase agriculture produce in the state, Karnataka government has allocated $13 million that will be spend on implementing integrated farming system (IFS) in 125,000 hectares.

The statewide action plan for use of IFS model has been drawn jointly by all the farm universities in Karnataka.

The state government has also set aside $22 million to promote bio-fuels in the state, based on the model of the Rural Bio-Resource Complex.
