Meijer breaks ground on new dairy plant in Ohio

American hypermarket chain Meijer has broken ground on a new dairy production facility in Tipp City, Ohio, as part of its expansion project to boost its manufacturing capabilities.

The proposed dairy plant, which will be spread over on an area of around 105,000ft, will produce milk, as well as a wide range of dairy products including cottage cheese and yogurt.

The plant will make its products available to 100 stores in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky, creating around 100 local jobs.
