At first, these were infant formulas intended to replace the mothers milk. The products developed over the years, offering a whole range of new flavours, gradually incorporating cereals, fruits and pureed vegetables. They were considered by many to be better than homemade food which required more preparation time than just opening a jar of ready-to-eat baby food.
