India’s Oilmeal Exports up 20 Per Cent in April

India has recorded a 20 per cent increase in oilmeal exports at 236,835 tonnes for April 2014, as compared to 197,554 tonnes, the Solvent Extractors Association of India (SEA) said in a statement on May 7, 2014.

The association attributed the growth to increase exports of rapeseed meal oils to South Korea and Thailand during the month.

However, export of soybean meal drastically reduced in April 2014 due to high price of soybean lead to disparity in crushing and export.
