A glance through the fruit trade will reveal that there is a weak market for Galia melons. The prices vary between 5.50 and 7 Euro at the various companies, but two weeks ago they were 12/13 Euro. At the moment the Galias are being imported from Guatemala and Costa Rica. They are also imported from Almeria, but traders indicated that the best Spanish Galias are from Murcia. The market for watermelons is also falling back with a current price level of 65 to 85 cents. More is asked for the seedles
