Cermaq last week acquired two licenses for salmon production in region XII in Chile.
The licenses will increase the companys production capacity by 4,000 metric tons (MT) annually when fully developed. The areas current production capacity in the region is 10,000 MT annually.
The licenses were purchased from Centauro for USD 2 million (EUR 1.44 million).
