The farmers can earn good profit from their waterlogged fields by adopting fish farming, said Mr Singh, while addressing farmers at a seminar,TimesOfIndiareports.
The fisheries department organised the awareness seminar for farmers in Muktsar on Wednesday.
Mr Singh told the farmers attending the seminar that around 1250 acres of land is available. He also said that the department is organising a five-day training programme for those farmers who are interested in fish farming.
