The number of receipts issued by Dutch supermarkets was up 1.5% compared to last year, but the average amount spent on each receipt dropped from 22.53 to 21.90.

Sales on Sunday's in Dutch supermarkets have gone up by a massive 23% over the past two years, according to GfK, who say that the shopping habits of young singles seems to be driving this growth.
