Indian sugar exports rise, but WTO members demand removal of subsidies

While Indias sugar exports have been surging, several members of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) - including the European Union (EU), Australia, Brazil and Colombia - have demanded that the country remove the subsidies that were granted to Indian sugar exports in February 2014.
