DuPont Nutrition Health announced it will introduce the company's BAX System Real-Time PCR Assay for Genus Listeria at the Food Safety Summit in Baltimore, Md., April 8-10.
The new assay has been validated for frankfurters, cooked shrimp, spinach, queso fresco cheese and environmental surfaces, the company noted. The assay also allows testers to check for Listeria and Salmonella in the same batch with results completed for both pathogens in little over an hour.
