Aldi Withdraw Sausage Rolls In Ireland Over Sulphur Labelling

Heavy discounter Aldi has taken a number of sausage roll ranges off of shelves in Ireland because of a labeling error which make the food unsafe for people with certain allergies.

The German grocery giant told the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) that the packaging of Kellys sausage rolls omitted sulphites and removed the products. Sulphites can trigger allergic reactions, say the FSAI, particularly in asthmatics.
