Russia to Meet with EU over Resumption of Pig Meat Trade

Talks are due to take place on 14 March between Russian and EU officials over the resumption of pig meat exports to Russia.

Exports were halted following the outbreak of African swine fever in Lithuania, the first in an EU member state.

The Head of the Russian veterinary service (Rosselkhoznadzor), Sergey Dankvert and the CEO of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Consumer Protection, Paola Testori Koji, are due to meet in Madrid, Spain on Friday 14 March, according to
