Japan buys 126,814 tonnes food wheat via tender

Japan's Ministry of Agriculturebought a total of 126,814 tonnes of food quality wheat from theUnited States, Canada and Australia in a regular tender thatclosed late on Thursday.

Japan, the world's sixth-biggest wheat importer, keeps atight grip on imports of the country's second most importantstaple after rice and buys the majority of the grain for millingvia tenders typically issued three times a month.
