Gourmet Trading, a distributor of fresh asparagus in North America, has selected FoodLinks produce traceability platform for all of its packed and shipped produce within the US.
The company's website features a link to FoodLink where retailers can trace the lot code, global trade item number (GTIN) and product name using the code on their PTI label.
According to FoodLink, consumers and retailers are demanding more information for the food they purchase.
As a result, fresh produce growers and
