Japan's Ministry of Agriculturebought a total of 42,908 tonnes of June-loading Canadian WesternRed Spring wheat in an atypical tender that closed lateWednesday, a farm ministry official said.
The latest tender, which followed a regular weekly tenderthat closed on Friday, was to meet demand from Japanese millers.
Japan, the world's sixth-biggest wheat importer, keeps atight grip on imports of the country's second most importantstaple after rice and buys the majority of the grain for millingvia
