Emerald Kalama Chemical announced its Kalama, Wash., facility has gained a 3-year FSSC 22000 certification from the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The certification covers the manufacturing of the companys sodium benzoate and potassium benzoate products used as preservatives in the food and beverage industry.
Emerald Kalama Chemical received FSSC 22000 certification in 2012 at its Rotterdam, Netherlands, facility that produces PUROX S sodium benzoate.
