The German discounter Netto Marken-Discount is recalling the product 'Hazelnuts, natural, crushed' in 200 gram packaging of the brand 'Backfee' as a precaution. The product was produced by manufacturer 'Mrsch Importhandels-GmbH' for Netto. It only concerns packaging with the sell by date 08-06-2014.
A check of a single package of this product revealed the presence of salmonella bacteria, which can cause health concerns. Packages with any other sell by dates and other products are not affected.
